What You’ll Learn:

By the end of this training, you’ll have the tools and confidence to teach creative, safe and soulful aerial yoga classes.

1) A proven “seed class” sequence You’ll learn our general-level aerial yoga class sequence designed to be:

• Accessible and adaptable

• Easy to teach

• Easy to modify for different strengths + flexibility levels

• Perfect for beginners to intermediate students

Think of it as a foundation, a “seed class” you can grow into your own unique teaching style as you gain experience.

2) How to structure unforgettable classes Learn the principles of strong class design so your students leave feeling:

• Physically open

• Emotionally soothed

• Mentally calm Aerial yoga is powerful, and we teach you how to use the swing skilfully to avoid common teaching mistakes like overstimulation, imbalance or alienating students.

3) Inclusive, confident communication

• Learn cueing and language that supports everybody and helps you build a strong teacher-student bond.

• We also introduce adjustments and hands-on support techniques (inspired by Thai Yoga Massage principles) that help deepen connection, because when used well, touch becomes a powerful teaching tool.

4) Mindfulness and relaxation techniques

• We’ll show you how to incorporate simple mindfulness and meditation-based techniques into your classes.

• These tools create the magic students remember, and they are especially loved at the beginning and end of a session.

5) The emotional power of the swing The aerial hammock isn’t only about flexibility and spinal traction; it can be used to:

• Reduce anxiety

• Enhance wellbeing

• Improve focus

• Build emotional regulation and a calm nervous system

This is where aerial yoga becomes truly holistic.

6) Creativity and play

• Stand out as an innovative teacher by learning how to use the hammock creatively and playfully, while keeping classes safe and structured.

7) Safety, set-up and installation You’ll learn essentials, including:

• Swing set-ups

• Safe use and spotting principles

• Installation basics

• Risk awareness and teaching professionalism

Meet Your Trainer – Richard Holroyd

Richard is an internationally recognised Aerial Yoga teacher and course leader who has been teaching and training teachers since 2011. Originally from England, he later moved to Lithuania for love, and has devoted his life to sharing the unique power of aerial yoga, not just as a physical practice, but as a pathway back to happiness, presence and deep relaxation.

Richard’s love for the swing began with a simple goal: practising inversions, but once it was installed, he had a “eureka” moment, noticing how instantly joyful, light and present people became when supported by the hammock. In 2011, he founded Aerial Yoga London, London’s only dedicated aerial yoga studio at the time, and went on to teach thousands of classes and workshops, refining a style that blends safety, creativity, mindfulness and deep restoration. Expect a training experience filled with soothing relaxation, encouragement, fun and freedom, guided by a teacher who truly believes the swing can bring people closer to the true feeling of yoga: pleasure, spontaneity, openness and ease.

Be More Than an Aerial Instructor

This training is ideal for:

• Qualified aerial yoga teachers wanting to deepen skills + expand repertoire
